During those six years, it was apparent to her that her passion was not in the military but rather in animal rescue. Taking her talent of ship handling, guts for action and heart for humanity, she knew the logical next step was to join with Sea Shepherd.

She checked aboard the Steve Irwin in November 2008 and has since experienced many firsts. Not only has she been introduced to a vegan lifestyle but also to some of the biggest ups and downs life has thrown her way - the life and death of whales.

Between Sea Shepherd campaigns, she is working on establishing a website that places keen volunteers with an animal rescue organizations based on their choices of animal or geographic locations.
